Underway today. These are the ones we've committed to.

Shopify

Forward trace already follows a lot through the batches that used it, the finished goods it became, and the packs it was assembled into. Connecting Shopify carries it out your door — online and direct orders attach to the lot they shipped from, with quantities and ship dates, and your stock stays in step across both systems.

QuickBooks

Wholesale invoices bring your accounts across, so the distributors and retailers who took a lot land on the same recall list as your direct orders. Cost of goods comes with them, built from what production actually consumed rather than re-keyed at month end.

A complete CAPA record

A deviation already records what happened to the affected product, why, and who authorised it. This makes the rest of the file whole — a complaint and its deviation as one thread, the root cause, the action that stops it recurring with an owner and a due date, and a check later on that it worked. A complaint reporting injury stays open until it has been investigated.

NextPlanned

Specified and queued. Order can still change.

More than one facility, and co-packers

Run separate sites under one account, each with its own equipment, zones and programs — including production someone else runs for you.

Environmental monitoring

Allergen changeovers already record swab results and open an investigation when one fails. This puts the same discipline on a standing plant-wide program — your own sampling sites, on a schedule, with results trended over time.

Internal audits on a schedule

Run your own self-audits from a checklist. Findings become deviations with an owner and a due date.

Suppliers upload their own paperwork

Send a supplier a link and get certificates of analysis and allergen declarations back against the right lot, without the email thread.

Room for everyone who signs

With e-signatures on monitoring, everyone recording a check needs their own login, so seats track your shift pattern rather than your headcount. Pro includes three today. This adds the seats you actually need, and takes view-only people out of the count entirely, so anyone who only reads records never takes a place.

More of the places you sell

Shopify and QuickBooks come first because that is where most orders and invoices already are. The same route out to your customers works for WooCommerce, Square, Faire or Xero — tell us which one you sell through and it moves up the list.

ExploringResearching

On our mind, not yet scoped. Your input moves these.

Readings that record themselves

Connect a temperature logger or a probe and its readings land against the batch they belong to. Anything outside your limits opens a deviation on its own, the way a failed calibration does today.

Your records in the tools you already work in

Ask CrownQ answers questions inside the app today. This opens the same answers to the assistant or spreadsheet you use elsewhere, so you can pull your own production and compliance data without exporting it first.

Trend charts for critical control points

Watch your CCP readings drift over time and catch a process going out of control before it becomes a deviation.

Regulatory changes that affect you

Follow CFIA and FDA updates and flag the ones that touch the products you actually make.

For SQF, BRC and FSSC certification

You can already write and control any program a scheme asks you for. What we'd add is the structure underneath the ones that need it — food fraud assessments scored against your own suppliers and ingredients, buyer specification sheets built from your product data, and artwork sign-off. We build these as customers reach for certification; tell us if that's you.

Direction, not commitment. Nothing here carries a delivery date, and the order changes as customers tell us what matters. For what has actually shipped, and when, see the changelog.

Building something you need? Email us — and if you already use Crown QMS, the feedback button inside the app reaches the same people.
