  • Gate any production step on real prerequisites — require the equipment's calibration to be current, or today's sanitation or allergen changeover to be on record, before the step can be completed. The floor shows exactly what's missing and how to clear it, and quick batches honour the same gates.
  • CrownQMS now flags a batch whose yield lands well below its product's recent trend, right in your notifications.
  • See where every batch's output went — the new Output split view stacks each batch's packaged goods, product kept as bulk, and measured loss, so packaging efficiency is visible at a glance.
  • The batch drawer rounds out its record: stage start and completion times, per-step change history in the audit trail, and one-click links to the product and to the batch a rework came from.
  • Recipe steps can now do more the moment they're completed — flag a step to create the batch's lab test automatically from the product's QC template, or to prompt for printing the carton label or batch slip right on the floor.
  • Complaints now show up in notifications — an open complaint alerts your team, escalating to critical when illness or injury is reported, and clicking it opens the complaint directly.
  • Choose your notifications: a new Notifications tab in Settings lets each person turn individual notification types on or off — and decide separately whether email alerts and the daily summary reach their inbox.
  • Critical alerts now reach you by email within minutes, and a daily summary email rounds up everything still waiting — with links straight back into the app.

  • Batch details at a glance: opening a batch from the list now shows key stats as scannable cards — output, yield vs. expected, duration, and stage progress — plus a Started → Completed → Released timeline, with quick access to bottled output and a copyable lot code.
  • The batch drawer now carries a quality summary: colour-coded chips show CCP outcomes, deviation counts, and lab/COA status at a glance, and a batch that's overdue for a check-in keeps that warning visible inside the drawer.
  • See how yields trend across batches: a new Trends view on the Batches page charts each batch's actual output against its expected yield per product, marking where recipe revisions took over. The same chart is embedded on every product, each batch's yield card carries a mini history, and every recipe version now reports the median yield its batches actually achieved — so you can spot drift and recalibrate expectations.
  • The batch drawer is now a complete batch record: it lists the exact ingredient lots the batch consumed — supplier lot codes, quantities, and expiries — and carries the batch's full change history.
  • Yield guardrails: recording an output far above the batch size now asks you to confirm it first, and recipes whose batches consistently land off their expected yield say so — with the real-world median shown right where you set the next version's target.

  • Bring your whole catalog in from a spreadsheet — a new Import area under Admin loads your suppliers, ingredients, products, chemicals, and current on-hand stock from a CSV or Excel file. Download a template for each, fill it in, and upload: every import shows exactly what will be created before anything saves, matches suppliers and categories by name, and converts quantities to each item's units.
  • File a Safety Data Sheet onto a chemical or a certificate onto a supplier straight from Scan — an SDS also pre-fills the chemical's hazard classification for your confirmation, and supplier certificates now track effective and expiry dates so the register shows what's current and what's lapsing.
  • Turn a CSV or Excel packing list or invoice into receipt line items — the columns map into a draft receipt for you to confirm before anything saves.

  • On the production floor, a critical control point reading you accept now shows as accepted on the step, with the recorded disposition one tap away to review.
  • Large PDFs and Office files upload reliably — files up to the full 20 MB allowance go straight to storage instead of stalling near 4 MB.

  • Scan from anywhere in one tap — the Scan button (center of the bottom bar on your phone, a tile on the dashboard) opens straight onto the camera: point it at an equipment or batch QR to jump to that record, tap the shutter to capture a document, or upload one from your files.
  • CrownQ reads what you scan and suggests where it belongs — a packing slip routes to a new goods receipt, a Certificate of Analysis to an open lab test — grounded in your own records: it names the supplier it recognizes, counts the line items that match your ingredients, and highlights the lab test whose batch number appears on the certificate.
  • Pre-fill a goods receipt from the document itself — the supplier, dates, and line items (quantities, lot codes, expiry, costs) read off a scanned packing slip or invoice into the draft receipt, for your confirmation before anything saves.
  • Pre-fill lab results from the Certificate of Analysis — censored readings like "< 10 cfu/g" arrive with their comparison intact, method-coded parameter names (such as "Yeast, MFHPB-22") match the certificate automatically, and you confirm every value before saving.
  • Print a QR label for any equipment — scanning it opens that equipment's action menu: log a hold check-in, start a hold, assign it to a batch, or jump to calibration, right from a phone.
  • Batch record slips now print with a QR code — scan it with the in-app scanner or your phone's camera to land on that batch's record and production floor.
  • Archive a lab test created by mistake — its sample quantities return to the batch's finished goods and the record stays on the audit trail. Finalized tests stay locked; Retest remains the correction path.
  • The batches page explains its alert badge — an attention strip names each batch with an overdue check-in and how late it is, with a marker on the affected row.
  • Deep links survive sign-in — scan a batch QR or follow a link while signed out, and after the magic link or code you land exactly where it pointed.

  • Phone photos upload dependably from every surface — captures are compressed on-device before upload, and iPhone HEIC pictures convert automatically so the AI extraction can read them.

  • Record lab results the way the lab reports them — capture censored microbiological readings with a comparison (<, ≤, >, ≥) like "< 10 cfu/g", and enter presence/absence results as Detected or Not detected against an expected outcome set on the QC template. Each is judged pass/fail against the spec automatically, and a borderline or indeterminate result is flagged for review rather than passed.
  • Scope a QC spec template to any number of products — the "Applies to" picker is now multi-select, so one template can cover a chosen set of products (or stay company-wide), and it surfaces on exactly those products' lab tests.
  • Passing a lab test now expects its Certificate of Analysis — attach the certificate, or record a reason for releasing without it, so every lab release is backed by evidence on the audit trail.
  • Stay ahead of lab work — the Lab Results tab flags tests still awaiting results, those overdue against the lab's stated turnaround, and any with an indeterminate result that needs a decision, each a one-click filter with at-a-glance markers on the test.
  • Retest a failed lab test in one step — "Retest" spins up a fresh test against the same spec and lab, linked to the original, so both the failed test and its retest reference each other on the record.
  • Spot lab drift before it fails — a new Trends view charts any numeric parameter across a product's batches, with the spec range shaded and each reading colored by pass, fail, or marginal (censored readings like "< 10" shown distinctly).

  • QC spec templates stay editable at any time — add, rename, or remove parameters even after the template has been used for lab tests, with completed results left fully intact.

  • Completed batches can now have their recorded ingredient use corrected — adjust quantities, remove entries, or record a missed lot, with a required reason. Inventory re-reconciles automatically and every correction appears in the batch's audit trail and amendment history.
  • Falling behind on hold check-ins is now impossible to miss: a batch that slips a check-in shows amber and turns red once a full extra check-in window passes — or a hold runs past its maximum duration — everywhere holds appear, and a badge on Batches counts batches needing attention from anywhere in the app.
  • The recall plan is now authored right on its program page: coordinator, recall team, distribution channels, every narrative section, mock-recall amendments, revision approval, and PDF download all live in one place under Documents, alongside the program's reviews and evidence.
  • AI hazard analysis now draws on your production track record: for a critical control point with a history of released batches, the suggestions cite how it has actually performed — In-spec rate, observed range, and deviations on record — so a control that holds up strengthens a "not reasonably likely" call and one that's drifting is flagged for a closer look.

  • Show operators exactly how it should look — attach reference photos to recipe steps and they appear on the production floor beside the instructions.
  • Historical pH readings recorded during data import now appear as structured measurements on their batches, alongside everything recorded on the floor.
  • Your plant floor moves in real time — batch markers update within a second of activity on the floor: steps completed, holds checked in, vessels changed, stages advanced.

  • Adding a lot whose code already exists — common when restocking a lot that migrated in at zero on-hand — now offers to add your quantity to that existing lot (recorded as a Correction adjustment) instead of dead-ending on a "lot already exists" error.
